This paper seeks to examine surrealist influences in the literature of the 27 Generation, to show the influence of this on the work of Francisco Nieva, the contemporary playwright and author of Pelo de Tormenta, and to comment on some of the problems encountered in translating these surrealist elements in Spanish literature.
