Resumen: En este trabajo se asevera que no se ha verificado una equivalencia exacta entre todos los tipos contractuales que configuran los sistemas de distribución comercial en nuestro sistema y en el sistema anglosajón. Esto impone la necesidad de realizar, en cada caso, un análisis exhaustivo del documento para determinar frente a qué tipo de contrato nos encontramos. Asimismo, dada la insuficiencia de las soluciones que, en muchos casos, ofrecen los diccionarios, es esencial recurrir a las fuentes jurídicas originales y a los documentos de la práctica contractual como soporte para la investigación terminológica y herramienta para la toma de decisiones correctas.
