Resumen: El desarrollo de una cultura de legalidad atraviesa, en buena medida, por la necesidad de hacer comprensible como cercana la estructura gubernativa y jurisdiccional del sistema mexicano a los ciudadanos, pero sobre todo a los sistemas de apoyo en un proceso judicial. Este tipo de textos abonan al establecimiendo de un sistema de formación, actualización y certificación de la función de interpretación, que en México no ha sido del todo deasrrollada y que es trascendental para el fortalecimiento de un sistema garantista de derechos. La formación de intérpretes con conocimientos jurídicos técnicos es indispensable para la protección de los derechos humanos y fundamentales de las partes en un juicio, pero sobre todo para grupos de población específicos como: migrantes, indígenas y personas con discapacidad. En este orden de ideas este manual representa una herramienta básica para la formación de los intérpretes y su conocimiento específico respecto de algunos elementos básicos de la conformación de los poderes y órganos del Estado, así como la estructura del sistema procesal.
