Resumen: Hugo Lindo nación en La Unión en 1917 y murió en San Salvador en 1985. Fue diplomático, abogado, cuentista, novelista y poeta. Su obra lo hizo merecedor de varios premios. Resumen: La colección de obras que han incluido los editores/traductores de la antología, José Luís Vázquez Marruecos y Esther Vázquez y del Árbol, es, interesante por varias razones. En primer lugar, por la selección realizada. No se han limitado a escoger textos de los poetas escoceses "clásicos" -Burns, Hogg, Scott, etc.- aunque éstos se hallen representados, sino han conseguido dar una visión mucho más amplia de esta poesía, incluyendo textos de nuestros días. Ha sido un acierto incluir, por ejemplo, 'Tam O'Shanter', que muestra el mejor Burns. En segundo lugar los traductores se han atrevido con textos en "Scots", sin entrar, acertadamente, en polémicas acerca del idioma 'auténtico' de la poesía escocesa.
