Resumen: Le Sixième Forum International sur la Traduction et l ́Interprétation certifiées et judiciaires a réuni dans l ́enceinte pretigieuse de l ́UNESCO, á Paris, lieux traditionnels par excellence de la confluence de peuples et de cultures, plus de 200 prfessionnels qui sont venus du monde entier.Le thème du Forum a suscité l ́interventin de plus de 40 spécialistes, praticiens, traducteurs, interpètes, enseignants, chercheurs, juristes, responsables, présidents d ́associations, présidents de comités, etc.

Resumen: "Voici la troisième édition du Le Répertoire mondial des historiens de la traduction publié par le Comité pour l'historie de la traduction (FIT). La première (1991) comptait 68 historiens, la seconde (1993), 116. Celle-ci en regroupe 180. Plus de trente pays sont représentés (...). Le Répertoire mondial des historiens de la traduction s'est révélé un outil de travail utile, par exemple, pour la planification de colloques en histoire de la traduction ou le recrutement d'historiens en vue de la réalisation de certains projets collectifs".

Resumen: This publication contains the word of translators, interpreters, terminologists, and other professionals giving presentatrions at the XIX World Congress in San Francisco, California on August 1-4, 2011. The theme of the Congress, "Bridging Cultures", reflects the international nature of the event and highlights the fact that FIT member associations build bridges between cultures and facilitate communication that creates cultural enrichment.

It covers a wide area, from high-tech topics related to day-to-day work such as post-editing of machine translations or working in the cloud, through quality assurance standards to various aspects of the qualities required for the job.
