Resumen: Consideramos imprescindible incluir l aprendizaje de la revisión y de la autorevisión en la formación de traductores primero, porque constituyen el instrumento más apropiado para la transición entre la fase de aprendizaje y el ejercicio de la profesión a través de la búsqueda de calidad y mediante la aplicación sistemática de diversos criterios para la autorrevisión y revisión de traducciones. Segundo, para reforzar la adquisición y desarrollo de una serie de habilidades básicas para el futuro traductor profesional que no son exclusivas del revisor. Finalmente, para generar en el estudiante una actitud de confianza en sí mismo y para fomentar el ejercicio de la crítica mediante la objetividad, principio básico para la eficacia de la revisión.
