This project will attempt to shed light on the practice of interpretation into the non-native language in Argentina. An overview of my home country's market situation and the need for Argentine interpreters to work into English will give the reader an opportunity to better understand the issue at hand. The problems derivered from interpreting into English will then be analyzed. Questions such as quality, training, ethics and theoretical aspects of interpreting into English form part of this effort of taking a closer look at the market I work in. This paper is a summary of a longer work presented in 1998 at the Monterey Institute of International studies in partial fulfillment of graduation requirements.
