This dissertation attempts to compare four methods of testing EFLSP L2 reading comprehension at University level in progress and/or final achievement tests. Although the methods under study are: translation, comprehension questions and answers in L2, in L1 and ComQs in L2 and Answers in L1 (L2=englishc and L1= spanish), on the basis of the following research questions: did the four methods put subjects in the same order of merti or not? which pairs agree/disagree most? (Pearson correlation between each pair), did students who scored highest/lowest with translation score highest/lowest correspondingly with comprehennsion questions? (Pearson correlation between each pair), didstudents score generally higher on one test than another? (paires T test).
