The objective of this paper is to argue that style constitutes the most intrinsic component of every literary translation act and that consideration of issues regarding the relationship of 'form' to 'content' studied in literary criticism are crucial to a successful translation. This paper also argues that form an content in a literary text can become difficult to distinguish and may need to be regarded as one and the same thing.
