Resumen: "Naturally enough there is a certain sparkle around a person like Carl Linnaeus when his 300th birthday is approaching. As with all eminent historical figures, assessments of Linnaeus and his efforts have oscillated between devoted admiration and grudging criticis,. Today the questioning and debating of scientific theories is perhaps the most important component of academic life. Probably Linnaeus himself, in his old age, did not fully share that sentiment. It is, however, not the task of the University Library to adopt a position in this history of science debate. Instead it is a great hoy for us to be able to exhibit works by and about Linnaeus and in this manner stimulate visitors to continued studies of nature and its mysteries in the Linnean spirit..."
