Resumen: El avance tecnológico actual nos permite simplificar ciertas tareas pero, en el peor momento, aparece una dificultad. O bien, porque uno quiere aprovechar al máximo estos recursos y hacer lo mejor que se puede con ellos, o porque uno sabe que puede existir alguna otra herramienta para mejorar y no podemos hallarla. En esta nota se analizan: Cómo realizar una copia de resguardo de "Mis favoritos"?; Cómo completar líneas con guiones?; y se recomiendan y sugieren tácticas y trucos para hacer más efectivo y llevadero el trabajo con la PC. De este modo, con el conocimiento de las múltiples funciones del teclado se pueden acortar caminos para la operación de nuestra computadora en la tarea de traducir.

Resumen: When most translators think of translation memory or terminology databases. But what about monolingual reference texts in the target language?. There are three common situations where monolingal references will be provided or will prove useful: 1.When translating academic articles or reports containing a bibliography. 2.When translating marketing material or manuals for a client who provides you with similar material to consult in order to maintain consistent terminology. 3.When translating legistation, where terminonogy must be consistent with prior laws.
